Gold Poinsettia Burst - Merry Christmas

Here is another card made using the FSJ Poinsettia Burst, in Gold.

I sponged some blue onto the background of Whip Cream Cardstock. Then stamped some evergreens
Splattered the background with Gold Silk.
Laid down a strip of what with Gold dot Washi Tape and a smaller strip of Black Licorice Cardstock then tied it all up with some Journey Gold Thread.

The Poinsettias were stamped with Journey clear pigment ink and embossed with Gold EP. The leaves were stamped with Green Journey True Color Fusion ink and embossed with clear EP.
Merry Christmas was stamped in black and embossed with Clear EP. This stamp set has a fabulous die set with it.

All assembled using  foam squares and Journey Fashion Gold Pearls added to center of Poinsettias.

Then to tie it all together, added three Green Embellishments.

All Products used are from Fun Stampers Journey.

Red Poinsettia Burst - Merry Christmas

Here is the first of my August Class cards. We did Christmas In August with some great new stamp sets and Dies.

I stamped the Poinsettias in Cranberry Bliss Fusion Ink and the leaves in Fresh Forest Fusion ink and heat embossed all with clear detail embossing powder. I them fussy cut them all out and popped with phone tape. On this card, I used Journey Whip Cream Thread, but in my class cards, we used Journey Candy Apple Red Twine. I just thought the red made it pop more.
Gold Silk was used to splatter gold on the card front.
The centers of the Poinsettias were adorned with the Red berries from Berries and Holly accessories.
I LOVE the trending Black and White used in the Christmas Cheer Prints Paper.

Poinsettia Burst Black & Gold Easel Card

I love to make Easel Cards. I just think they are so much fun and great for the recipient to display easily.
I have to say though that I actually struggled with this one. I just planned on Black, Gold and White. Didn't like it. So, I added some green leaves, still didn't like it. Then added just a touch of red. Still didn't like it, but I gave up and am posting it anyway. I am my own worst critic.

I started with a Black Licorice card base. On the separate Black panel, I dry embossed it with the NEW Love Letter Embossing Folder which is actually a FREE Bloom Benefit with a $100 order.
I wanted the design to stand out just a little. So, I took my finger and added just a small amount of the Journey Brush Gold Panpastel

I used the Ornamental Label Die and cut two with Whip Cream Cardstock and the Ornamental Medallion Die with Black Licorice CS. They match perfectly. After adhering the black to the white, I splattered it with Gold Silk. I adhered the other white panel to the bottom section of the card base.

The large and small Poinsettias and the Pine Sprigs from the Poinsettia Burst Stamp Set were stamped onto whip cream cs with the Journey Clear Pigment Ink Pad and sprinkled with Gold Embossing Powder and heat set. The leaves and the Holly, from the same set, were stamped with Lemongrass true color fusion ink. All were then fussy cut and layered.

The Merry Christmas is from the Holiday Wishes Stamp Set & was stamped onto the  Mirror Gold Cardstock with the Clear Pigment ink and Black Embossing Powder used on top and heat set. The small Holly is also from this same stamp set.

After constructing the card, I added three red berries from the Berries and Holly accessories and scattered the self adhesive Fashion Gold accents around the top.

I made a triple bow using the Journey Gold Thread and added a small holly on top.

The Berries on the large Holly was colored with Cranberry Bliss reinker, then I made matching glitter using just a little of the Journey Sparkle Dust in a small container and adding just a drop or two of the Cranberry Bliss Silk and mixed it all up. After letting this dry, I added it to the berries with the Journey Craft Glue
