Bountiful Thanks

This is my 2nd card for my classes in October. Since the first one was detailed, I wanted to keep the others simpler.
All products are from Fun Stampers Journey except the button.

This is a quick and easy card. .
My card base is Buttercream  cardstock as well as the piece I stamped on.
I first stamped the card base and image cardstock with the Canvas Prints Background Stamp using Pinapple Smoothy Ink.

I stamped the cornacopia With Clear Embossing Ink and Gold Detail Embossing Powder. Then layered onto Brushed Gold Cardstock.

I splattered Gold Silk round image and then colored a white button with the gold silk so it matched.

The Sentiment and the Gourd were also stamped with Clear Embossing ink and Gold Embossing Powder.

The bow was made with the natural and Gold Thread.

Autumn Days - Give Thanks

I'm busy working on the cards for my October Classes.
Here is the first of three.
This one was a little time consuming but so much fun to make. All products used are from Fun Stampers Journey.

The card base is Butter Cream and the next layer is Pumpkin Bread.

The background was made using the exclusive FSJ 8.5 x 11 size Gel Press, using Liquid colors of Lemon Drop, Limeade Splash and Rich Coral. I brayered those colors and then used the Falling Petals stencil on top.

I then took what inks were still on the brayer and ran it across the Playful Leaves Background Stamp and applied that on top.

I stamped Give Thanks from the Bountiful Thanks Stamp Set with Cocoa Powder Ink then clear detail embossing powder.
I added some Gold Silk over all.

The leaves were stamped with the Clear Pigment Ink and then colored with Pan Pastels and fussy cut. There is a matching die set for the leaves, but I LOVE to cut buy hand.

I attached a piece of the corrugated paper with the Pumpkin Patch Ribbon on top. I popped up the leaves and added a bow made from the Pumpkin Patch Ribbon.

I then used the Detailed Foliage Die and Gold Mirror paper to add a little more fun detail.

Gel Press, Brayer, stencil, and PanPastels used on this cad, are all on sale at 20% off until the end of September.

Creepy, Spooky, Spider Halloween card

Here is the 3rd and last card for my September Card Class.

I first covered my whip cream cardstock with Beachball and Pretty Pansy PanPastels. They are from the Party Pop and Rich Sorbets collection. By the way, Pan Pastels are all on sale, 20% off,  this month only, as well are other select Mix Media products.
Then I inked up the Widow's Web Background Stamp with Clear Pigment Ink and covered with white Embossing Powder and heat set.

The Picture Frame and BOO were cut from the Snapshot Frames Die.  Frame cut in Electric Lime Cardstock and the Boo in Rich Coral and Orange Rave cardstocks.

The Body of the Spider was cut from Black Licorice Cardsock using the 1 3/4" scallop punch and the 1 1/4" Circle Punch. I punched two small white circles and added for base of eyes and the Wiggly eyes on top.
The legs are pieces of Black Licorice Twine with knots tied in each for the foot and knee.

I then finished off the card with a Rock Candy Organza Bow.

I normally don't do this, but,I actually cased this card from another Journey Coach, Jeanne Bobish. Her card was so stinkin' cute that I had to case it.

Creepy Kids Trick Or Treat

Just another card for my September Card Class. This one uses the Fun Stampers Journey "Creepy Kids" Stamp Set. This set comes with a matching die set, but I LOVE fussy cutting, so that's what I did with this card.

The background was dry embossed with the Spooky Bold Embossing Folder on River Stone Cardstock. Then, using the large Sponge Dauber Dowel, I sponged River Stone ink lightly over the raised area just for a little more dimension.

On top of that I cut a piece of the "Fall Fest Prints" and backed it with a piece of Black Licorice Cardstock.

At the very bottom, I stuck down a strip of the Black Licorice Sparkle Tape to help ground the kids.

The circle for the Sentiment was die cut using the Journey Circles. Then stamped the Trick Or Treat with Black Licorice Ink. Using my finger, I added just a very small amount of the Pineapple Smoothie PanPastels then some of the silver Silk over card front.

The kids were stamped with Black Licorice Ink & colored using the Journey Color Burst Pencils and Popped them up.

Finally to finish off the card, I made a triple bow using the Journey Lemongrass Thread with an Orange Toil & trouble button in center.

Products Used:
River Stone CS - CS-0094
Black Licorice CS - CS-0003
Fall Fest Prints - PP-0048

Halloween Witch Silhouette

I can hardly believe that it's September already. And, again this year, I am behind in designing my Holiday Cards for my classes. Every year I vow to start Christmas in July and Halloween in August. But, this year, I was waiting on my NEW FSJ Halloween stamps to arrive. And, it was well worth the wait.

I started by cutting the moon using a circle die. You can't see in the picture, but I used a sea sponge and a tiny bit of the Black Licorice ink to make it look like shadows on the moon.
Then I held the circle in place on a piece of Denim Days Cardstock and sponged some white Panpastels around the moon to look like a halo.

I then thinned down some white Gesso and splattered the cardstock. Then also used silver Silks to splatter more. I wanted it to look like a starry night.

I added a strip of Silver Sparkle Tape below the moon and tied some Journey Licorice Twist Twine around it.

I stamped "If You Got It Haunt It" from the Creepy Kids Stamp Set. Then cut a slightly larger piece of the Silver Mirror paper and mounted them to the bottom right corner. This Mirror Paper is so shiny that I could look in it to put my lipstick on.

I stamped the witch with the Journey True Color Fusion Black Licorice Ink and heat embossed it with Clear Embossing powder to give it more dimension. I fussy cut it because I LOVE to cut, but this set does come with a matching Die Set.

I finished the card off by adding some Journey Special Celebrations Silver sequins.

Products I used:
Denim Days Cardstock - CS-0082
Black Licorice Fusion Ink Pad - IP-0041
Halloween Silhouette Stamp Set - SS-0530
Halloween Sillouette Bundle with Dies - BD-0298
Creepy Kids Stamp Set - SS-0528
