Christmas Candle - SSS67

WOW, can you believe it's the last day of July already. And, I’ve been so busy that I totally missed the Christmas in July cards I wanted to make. No problem, I’ll just have to be different and have a Christmas in August.!!!

And seeing that Christmas is less 5 months away, I thought it only appropriate that I feature a newly released Christmas Stamp from Sweet ‘n Sassy, called Christmas Candle. I am using the Digi Version of this stamp since I don’t own the actual stamp set. So, by going to the Sweet ‘n Sassy Store, you can pick up the Digi or PreOrder the clear stamp set.!!! The difference between the two is that the Clear Stamps come with the candle image and 4 sentiments. The Digi comes with the candle image and Merry Christmas.

The insapiration for this card came from this week's fabulous sketch over at the Sweet Stop Sketech Blog. Why not hop on over and play along with us this week.

I used a Brand New Paper Pack from Close to my Heart that won't even be for sale until September 1st. It's the Creative Basics Mistletoe Collection. It even comes with the beautiful light green shimmery ribbon I used.

I used red Stickles on the pointsettia, holly berries, and ornament at the top.
The Hand Stitching was done with Matching New England Ivy Embroidery Floss.

Smell The Flowers - SSS66

Sorry my blog looks so terrible. My background disappeared and I don't have time this evening to figure out what happened to it.

Today's card was inspired by the sketch over at The Sweet Stop Sketch Blog. If you need some inspiration, why not play along with us at The Sweet Stop this week. We'd LOVE to see your creations.

I used a new Clear Stamp Set just released this week, called Smell The Flowers. This fabulous set has One image and 7 sentiments.

Precious Baby - SSS65

It's been a while since I posted a card. I was away last week at the Close to my Heart Convnetion in Washington DC and now have to get back to stamping and being creative again. It really is hard getting back in the swing of things when you've been away for a week.

This card was made for the Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge #65. This week is the sketch with a spin. To use a tag.

It uses a newly released Clear Stamp set from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps called Precious Baby. I had this paper that I believe is from SU. I won this on a challenge blog last year and am finally getting around to using some of it.

The colors look off on my monitor. Hope it looks better on yours.

August Gladiola - SSS63

Happy Independence Day!!!

My card today should have been posted yesterday, however, I messed up the coloring of my image because I'm a little pressed for time right now.  So today I took some tome to color it again. It really does look much better in person.

The inspiration for the card came from the Saturday Sketch at The Sweet Stop.  If you love to work with sketches, hop on over and play along with us this week. You have until midnight Friday to add your creation.

The image is the newly released Clear Stamp Set called August Gladiola. It consists of one lovely image and five sentiments.
I LOVE my stamping Toys. My card uses two MS Punches, a Nestie Die and a Cuttle Bug embossing folder.

The Hand Stitching was done with matching Embroidery Floss.

Happy Forever - Sketch Saturday Challenge

I normally don't post the same card on both of my blogs, however, this hedgehog is so stinkin cute and since it's for a sketch challenge and a few others, I'm including it here too.

This stamp set is from the Close to my Heart Stamp of the Month, Happy Forever. It includes four Hedgehogs with a total of 9 stamps. If you're interested in purchasing this stamp set or get it discounted or for FREE, just shoot me an email and I'll hook you up. There's a Blog hop going on here with 70 participants using this set.

The inspiration for this card came from  Sketch Saturday.
I love using Red, White & Blue for any occasion summer cards but usually forget about it when using flowers.

My image was colored with Copic Markers.

The hand stitching was done with matching Embroidery Floss.
