Poinsettia Burst Black & Gold Easel Card

I love to make Easel Cards. I just think they are so much fun and great for the recipient to display easily.
I have to say though that I actually struggled with this one. I just planned on Black, Gold and White. Didn't like it. So, I added some green leaves, still didn't like it. Then added just a touch of red. Still didn't like it, but I gave up and am posting it anyway. I am my own worst critic.

I started with a Black Licorice card base. On the separate Black panel, I dry embossed it with the NEW Love Letter Embossing Folder which is actually a FREE Bloom Benefit with a $100 order.
I wanted the design to stand out just a little. So, I took my finger and added just a small amount of the Journey Brush Gold Panpastel

I used the Ornamental Label Die and cut two with Whip Cream Cardstock and the Ornamental Medallion Die with Black Licorice CS. They match perfectly. After adhering the black to the white, I splattered it with Gold Silk. I adhered the other white panel to the bottom section of the card base.

The large and small Poinsettias and the Pine Sprigs from the Poinsettia Burst Stamp Set were stamped onto whip cream cs with the Journey Clear Pigment Ink Pad and sprinkled with Gold Embossing Powder and heat set. The leaves and the Holly, from the same set, were stamped with Lemongrass true color fusion ink. All were then fussy cut and layered.

The Merry Christmas is from the Holiday Wishes Stamp Set & was stamped onto the  Mirror Gold Cardstock with the Clear Pigment ink and Black Embossing Powder used on top and heat set. The small Holly is also from this same stamp set.

After constructing the card, I added three red berries from the Berries and Holly accessories and scattered the self adhesive Fashion Gold accents around the top.

I made a triple bow using the Journey Gold Thread and added a small holly on top.

The Berries on the large Holly was colored with Cranberry Bliss reinker, then I made matching glitter using just a little of the Journey Sparkle Dust in a small container and adding just a drop or two of the Cranberry Bliss Silk and mixed it all up. After letting this dry, I added it to the berries with the Journey Craft Glue
