Daffodils & Butterfly - The Pink Elephant Challenge #50

Here's just one more card using the March Daffodils stamp set from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. I also used the Butterfly from "In His Time", and the Sentiment is from "His Eye is on the Sparrow." All of these wonderful stamps are also from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. These stamps are all on sale and flying out the door, so check them out today. And while you're there, why not try a Digi stamp. They are so much FUN to use, a great price, and no storage problem. TODAY is Digi Day and a few new releases.

So onto my card. For the inspiration for this card, I used a Sketch Challenge from The Pink Elephant. This was such a perfect sketch for these stamp sets.  This was also made for Danni's Flutter By Wednesday challenge for embossing and a butterfly. All of my stamped images are heat embossed with clear embossing powder before coloring.

The papers are from Close to My Heart, called Caboodle. I just love thesae colors. Sweetleaf, Crystal Blue and Sorbet.

The images were stamped with black Memento Ink and colored in with Copic Markers. The Daffodils were stamped twice. The second set was cut out and mounted for a 3D affect.

The hand stitching was done with matching Embroidery floss.

Love You This Much - SNSS New Release Day!

Well, today is the day when Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps is releasing SIX new stamp sets.I've been giving sneak peeks for the past few days of"Melody of Love". Well, here is another set call "Love Your This Much".

We have about 10 more weeks of winter so I thought this would make a great "Any Occasion" Winter Card. We're going through an extremely COLD winter so far here in Pennsylvania, so these types of cards are easy for me to make right now. I do my creating in front of a BIG window and all I see is SNOW!!!

Now, I actually started making this card last week for the Pink Elephant Card Sketch # 47. However, because sometimes, life happens, it didn't get finished in time to post it for the Challenge. Well, low and behold, when I went into their blog Monday, their challenge this week was to make a card with two designers papers, three buttons, and snowflakes. SOOOOOOOO, Here is my card with last weeks sketch added to this weeks challenge #48. That worked out pretty darn good.

Well, my card has plenty of  BLING to it, however, it is hard to see in the picture. There are small crystals in each of the five buttons on the snowman's coat. The snow and the snowflakes are all heavily glittered.

The image was colored with Copic Markers. I'm not sure where the papers are from.
The snowflakes were made from a Spellbinders Die and a Martha Stewart Punch.
The Ribbon, Buttons and Cardstock is Close to My Heart.
I used matching embroidery floss for the hand stitching around the card.
The snow was made using Liquid Applique and glitter.

Hope you like it. This stamp makes me smile!!!

Anniversary Card - The Pink Elephant

I love doing sketch challenges, but I don't always find the time to actually do them.  However, I had an Anniversary card that I needed to make for Sunday, so I went through all of this weeks sketches that I printed out and decided to use one from The Pink Elephant.Challenge #33.  This just seemed like it would make such an elegant card.

The DP and cardstock is from the Silhouette Paper Pack  from Close to my Heart.
The "50th" is from the "Friendship Alphabet" set, which was a special several months ago, And Happy Anniversary is from the "Love Always"
stamp set.

The scan doesn't show this very well, but the ribbon is gold and the "50th" is embossed with Gold EP. Also not showing is the Colonial White Card Base that this is mounted onto. I hate scans, but it's night time and I use my camera in natural light only.  Maybe I can change it tomorrow.

The paper that is punched with the Martha Stewart Lace Punch is actually the old metallic Cardstock from Close to my Heart. I knew I was hanging onto that all of these years for a reason!  *Ü*

The stitching around the card was done by hand with matching embroidery floss.

Baby Blessings, MMSC10,

This has to be the fastest card I've ever made. Really, I take forever to design one and then to finally say OK, I'm done. I usually just keep adding things.

Well with this one, just a few hours ago, a design team member, Teresa, told us about The Pink Elephant Challenge Blog. This weeks Challenge is to create a card with an animal theme.

I thought the Midnight Madness sketch 10 would be perfect for it. However, the deadline for submitting that sketch was in 1 1/2 hours from then. So, I scrambled to get my thought together and promised myself that I would keep it simple.
So, here is the sketch and the fastest card I've ever made.
All papers are from Close to my Heart.
Image is colored in with Copic Markers.
Stitching was done by hand with embroidery Floss.
So, what do you think. Quick and easy!
