This card was made for Digi Day over at SNR & PCP yesterday, but, I just couldn't get the grandchildren to nap at the same time so I could finish it in time to play along. I'm just having a real hard time lately getting good pictures of my cards. I think I need a new camera.
The sketch used for the front of this card is from the Wednesday Card Sketch Challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers.
This is an Easel Card. I really am addicted to making them. The theme was Mother's Day. I was going to put Happy Mother's Day on the inside where I have the water lily, however, after punching the fan border on the designer paper, I thought the image to the left of the water lily looked like a frog. Vivid imagination!!! Anyway, I decided to make a second water lily to place next to my "FROG" instead of words.
Each Water Lily, a digi image from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps, was printed three times, colored with Copic Markers, cut out and layered with foam tape for a 3D affect.
I used my new Nesties, In Spades, for behind the focal point and in the corners.
The hand stitching around the card front was done with Embroidery Floss.
Other Chalenges for this card:
Dutch Dare - Easel Card - Repeat something. I repeated the water Lily.

For my card, I used a new Digi Image from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps, called Helping Hand.

The designer paper used is new from Close to my Heart and can be found in the new Summer catalog as of May 1st. It's called Splendor.
I used a lot of my toys for creating this card. Three different Nesties, a Cuttlebug embossing folder and three flower punches.

The Waltzin Mouse stamp set I used is called Spring Baskets. I stamped the images three times with memento black ink then colored them with Copic Markers. I cut them out and layered with some foam take for a 3D look.

April Daisy - SSS52
I'm trying to get my Mojo Back. This is the first piece I've created in a week and I didn't realize until last night how much I really miss the hand sewing. So, maybe that's a good thing.
My colors look a little off on my monitor. Hope it looks better on yours. The center of the daisies is YELLOW stickles. Maybe it's because the glue is still wet.
My card today was made for the Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge #52. It's the Sweet Stop's One Year Anniversary so go on over and play along with the sketch challenge, add the link to your card to Mr. Linky and play along for a PRIZE!!! The sketch challenge is with a SPIN. The spin is buttons and bows.
My card is 5.5 x 5.5 and created with designer papers from Close to my Heart in the colors of Twilight and Sweetleaf. I just love that combination.
The buttons and ribbon is also from Close to my Heart.
The Digi Image is from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps and is called April Daisy. I added some yellow stickles to the centers of the flowers.
The small flowers were made using various punches.
The hand stitching was done with white embroidery floss.

Special Lady - Mother's Day Card - SC275 Sketch Challenge
My card today was inspired by the Wednesday Sketch Challenge over at SplitCoast Stampers. I made mine 5 X 7 even though it looks like a square card. I don't know what's up with Blogger to squish the image the way it has.
The wonderful image is from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps, called Special Lady. I couldn't help myself but to make the hat RED for all you Red Hat Ladies out there. The image was printed twice, colored with Copic Markers and some parts cut out and layered for dimension.
The designer papers are from a retired paper pack called Whoops-A-Daisy.
I only hand stitched half of the card so as not to take away from the beautiful daisies on the papers.

Sweet Violets
Please excuse the photo of my card. I had to scan it rather than take a picture as I normally do and the scan makes it look like I layered my papers crooked. That's what I get for not finishing the card while it was still daylight to get a good picture. But, I had a migraine headache today and wasn't allowed to take anything for it because of going for a Colonoscopy tomorrow.
My card was inspired by this gorgeous stamped image called Sweet Violets, from Flourishes. You see, I won one of their sketch challenges and this was one of the stamp sets I got. So, today, in spite of my headache, I just had to ink up this stamp and try it out.
I also found the perfect sketch challenge this week from Midnight Madness. I couldn't do the three bows as on the sketch because it just didn't work with this image.
This card was also made for the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge #61. We are to use things we bought and never used. That was easy for me because I've got tons of product that I hoard. Paper being one of them. So, here I'm using some beautiful paper that retired last year from Close to my Heart and Grape Sherbet grosgrain ribbon that retired several years ago. And, I can forget my Nesties. I tend to use the same ones all the time so this is the first time I've used this set.
The hand stitching around the card was done with matching embroidery floss.

Sweet Stop Sketch #50 - "Milton Reading"
HAPPY EASTER!!!
I've really been slacking in my posting this week. It has been such a crazy past two weeks and there just aren't enough hours in the day. But then it's always this way for me before any Holiday. Holiday meals are always here and we have all the kids over. So, it's not just the cooking and baking but the cleaning before and after. AND cleaning takes away some valuable stamping time. I've been that busy for the past two weeks that today I found a Dust Bunny big enough to have it's own Zip Code. Where could that have possibly come from and who put it there.
Ok, enough of me trying to be a comedian.
My card for today was inspired by the sketch over at The Sweet Stop. If you've never played along with any of their challenges, hop on over and try one this week. They are so much fun and you can't even imagine how easy it is to create a card once you have a sketch to follow.
The image I used is a new Digi image from Sweet 'n Sassy stamps called "Milton Reading". It was colored in with Copic Markers. I forgot to add the stickles glitter to the flower and butterfly. If I get a chance between collecting dust bunnies, I'll take another picture and change it out.
The designer papers are from The Bella Collection from Close to my Heart.
The Sentiment is from the April Stamp of the Month called "Flower Pot", and the the Hollyhock twill ribbon is also from Close to my Heart.
The butterfly is a digi image but I have no clue where I got it. I just know that I love it.
