Here is another Christmas card using another stamp set from Sweet n' Sassy. This is called Christmas Light. I stamped the image and Sentiment and heat embossed with clear detail EP, and colored with Copic markers

Colors on this are Green, Purple, and off white. I added some orange and yellow glitter to the flame.

Christmas Puppy

Well, here it is December 1st already. Here is another cute Christmas card I made last night. I've had this stamp set for a year and this is the first time I've used it. I sometimes get overwhelmed with coloring. This stamp set is called Christmas Puppy from Sweet n' Sassy Stamps. I colored it with Copic Markers

The inspiration came from the sketch challenge from Mark's Finest Papers. It is a challenge with a twist. Winter theme. Well, I guess Christmas is Winter....right?

Melonie Mouse

Good Morning and HAPPY NEW YEAR to you all!!!

I can't tell you how strange it is to be making Christmas Cards last week and a Valentine today.

My term with the Sweet 'n Sassy DT is coming to an end today after 21 months. I find it hard to believe that it's been that long. As my final DT card, I used a soon-to-be released Pre-colored Digi called Melanie Mouse.
The papers are all from a Close to my Heart paper pack called That's Amore.

The hand stitching was done with Ecru Embroidery Floss.

Winter Basket - SSS85

Here is one of my favorite Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Images. It's called Winter Basket.  I printed it the size I needed and colored it with Copic Markers.

The inspiration for this card came from this weeks sketch over at The Sweet Stop. If you need some weekly inspiration, try the sketches there. They are some of the best.

The papers I used are some retired Christmas papers from Close to my Heart.
I also used one of my new Nesties called Beaded Ovals.
The Hand Stitching was done with Red Embroidery Floss.

Cocoa's Stocking - SC309

I hope you all had a fabulous Thanksgiving. I actually can't believe that it's December 1st already. The time is just flying by and I hardly have any Christmas cards made. I think I'm going to have to concentrate on them for the next two weeks.

I was so excited to get this card made today to try out my new camera that Santa brought me early. Don't you just love Black Friday specials!!! I've been wanting a Digital SLR camera for years now. And of course I have to learn how to use all the bells and whistles before Christmas, right!!! My old camera was only 6 years old but very obsolete. It only had 3.1 MP and hasn’t been taking very good pictures of my cards lately. My new baby has 18 MP. Woo Hoo!!! Anyway, enough about my camera. Onto my card.

I played along with the Splitcoast Stampers Wednesday Sketch Challenge.

The Digi Image I used is called Cocoa’s Stocking. This is a new release today from Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps. You may want to head on over and check out all the new digi releases for this month. I printed him out and colored him with Copic Markers.

I punched out several pine sprigs in white, glittered them, and used them as embellishments to finish off the focal point.

I used some Basic Grey paper for the base and then used my cuttlebug embossing folders for the next two layers. I thought the brick wall looked cute behind Cocoa.
I also used my new Labels 15 Nesties

I added liquid appliqué and glitter to the top of the stocking and yellow glitter to the star.

The hand stitching was done with red Embroidery Floss.

Country Snowman & Oh Christmas Tree - SSS83

Oh My, we're in the home stretch for Thanksgiving. I'm not ready for this. I always have my house cleaning done and my house sparkles for the holidays. I only have today and tomorrow to get it all done so I may have to sprinkle glitter all over if I want it to sparkle. *Ü*
As a matter of fact, I was so engrossed in washing curtains that I forgot it was Friday and I needed to make this card.

My card today uses two Digi images from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps called Country Snowman and Oh Christmas Tree. They were colored with Copic Markers.

Korin is having a Black Friday Sale going on from now until the end of the month for a whopping 20% off. So, you may want to check out all the fabulous clear stamps and Digi images she has in her store.

I was pressed for time and kept messing up the coloring on my tree that I finally decided to see what it looked like with Faux Flower Soft on it. I then added red pearls where the ornaments are on the tree.

The papers and the Poinsettia flower are from Close to my Heart.
The Hand Stitching was done with White Embroidery Floss.

Another Smiley Snowman - SC307

There's just something about this image that I can't get away from. He just makes me smile.

I played along with the Splitcoast Stampers sketch challenge from yesterday.

The Digi Image is from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps and is called Smiley Snowman. There is also a Clear Stamp version of this also and comes with sentiments.

I love using the chunky Diamond Dust on my snowmen. This product is so sparkly but yet doesn't cover up all of the linework.
The snow is a combination of liquid Applique, faux flower Soft and Fine glitter. I sponged blue chalk on the background, then dotted it with white liquid applique and heated it.

I used som old Basic Grey papers.
The snowflakes are die cuts from A Spellbinders Die mand then I coated them with glitter. You can never have too much glitter for wintere of Christmas cards.

The Hand Stitching was done with White Embroidery Floss in my snowflake pattern.

Winter Basket - SSS82

Have your bodies adjusted to the end of Daylight Savings Time yet? Mine hasn't and that's a good thing. Now I'm awake by 6:30 and able to get some exercise in before the grandkids get here at 7:45.  Now, if I could only go to bed before Midnight!!!

My card today was inspired by a card at The Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge Blog. They have a beautiful sketch to work with this week so why not hop on over there and play along. You have until next Friday evening.
Did you ever notice how you start out with such pretty papers and then end up covering it up. That's what happened to me on this card. So, I made the small strip smaller then on the sketch so you could see more of the pretty flowers underneath. I was almost tempted to eliminate it all together.

The Digi Image I used is from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps and is called "Winter Basket".  I love Digi Stamps because you can make them any size you need. It was printed then colored with Copic Markers.
The Ribbon is some old Hostess rewards ribbon from Close to my Heart.

The Hand Stitching was done with matching Embroidery Floss.

The inspiration for this card came from this weeks sketch aqt Splitcoast Stampers.

The Digi Image is from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps and is called Winter Basket. I colored it with Copic Markers.

The background paper is actually made with the Holly Ribbon Cuttlebug Embossing Folder.

The Hand Stitching was done with matching Embroidery Floss.

Christmas Candle - Critter Sketch Challenge

This is my second post for today but I'm trying to play catch up this week with my DT obligations..
Here is another Christmas Card for you.

The inspiration for this card came from a sketch at Critter Sketch Challenge and this beautiful digi image from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps called Christmas Candle.
The image was colored with Copic Markers. I added six red sparkles to it.
The papers are from the Mistletoe collection from Close to my Heart.

The sketch challenge also required Buttons.
I hand stitched with Red Embroidery Floss to bring out the red in other parts of the card.

Smiley Snowman SC304

Happy Hump Day!

Well, it's Wednesday and Korin is hosting the sketch challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers.

As you can see by my card, it is a really easy sketch to follow. So why not grab your favorite Sweet 'n Sassy image and surprise Korin by playing along with us this week.

My card uses the Clear Stamp Set called Welcome Jesus, which includes the words, but the snowman by itself comes as a Digi called Smiley Snowman. I love how you have the best of both worlds with Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.

I started my card with Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses DP and matched it up with Close to my Hearty Cardstock.
I embossed the blue panel with a cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder.

I printed the image three times, colored it with Copic Markers, cut them out and layered for a 3D affect.
I coated him with Liquid Glass from CTMH and then chunky Diamond Dust for added sparkle.

The Hand stitching was done with matching Embroidery Floss.

Let It Snow - SSS79

This week, over at The Sweet Stop Challenge Blog, we have another fabulous sketch for you to play with. If you love sketch challenges as much as I do, you'll want to check these out every Saturday because they are some of the best.

My card today used a great Digi Stamp called "Let it Snow", from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.
The papers are from Close to my Heart.

The Hand Stitching was done with matching Embroidery floss. I couldn't make up my mind if I wanted to use red or green, so I used a combination of them both. I thought it turned out pretty cool.

Smiley Snowman - SC300

This is going to be a quick post. I wanted to have this card finished this morning but isn't that the way things usually go when you want something done by a certain time. It never happens. AND, I have another card to make yet tonight and post it tomorrow morning for a Fred She Said Blog Hop. So, please stop by tomorrow and hop along with us to win some goodies!!!

So here is evening alreay and too dark to take a photo of it so I had to scan it. But, that's OK. It will just have to do. The snowmen were coated with Liquid Glass and then Diamond Dust. This doesn't show up at it's best in the scan.

The inspiration for this card came from a sketch challenge over at Split Coast Stampers.

The Digi Image used is called Smiley Snowman from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. I printed out one snowman, then scaled one down slightly and printed them. Then I copied the small snowman and printed it Mirror image. I hadn't intended to use three snowmen. It started pout as one and had two others to cut and layer for a 3D affect, but as I had three snowmen laying there, I liked what I saw.
By the way, if you prefer clear stamps over Digi'sa, this stamp is also available as a clear stamp set.

The DP is retired paper from Close to my Heart. The embossed cardstock is Dutch Blue and Gypsy, boith from CTMH.

The Hand Stitching around the card was done with White Embroidery Floss to resemble snow flakes!

Fall Arrangement - SSS75

Happy Fall Ya'll!!!

Here were are the beginning of Fall already. However, here in PA we are still having 90° weather. They say a cold front is coming in tonight and that the warm weather and then the cold change will help turn the leaves. We'll see!

Sorry this post in late but I was having a problem with a card that I wanted to post yesterday but never happened. So, this card got pushed to the side and took longer to complete than I expected.

This card was made for the sketch over at The Sweet Stop Challenge Blog. Korin has such fabulous sketches so if you have never played along and you need some inspiration, try this one.

This Digi image I used is called Fall Arrangement from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. The problem I was having with this card was that all of my fall cards lately have all been green, orange and brown. I wanted to change it up a little so I added some purple. What do you think???

The image was printed three times, colored with Copic Markers, cut out and layered with foam tape for lots of Dimension.

The papers are from the Olivia paper pack, new from Close to my Heart. The Brads, ribbon and ribbon slide are all in the “Pear” Mini Medlies, also from CTMH. The purple papers are Gypsy CS. Now that it’s finished, I think these colors go great together.

I used Faux Flower Soft on the centers of the sunflowers and the purple flowers. And a little stickles in the stamen of the lily.

The Hand Stitching was done with matching Embroidery Floss.

Winter Friends - SCS 298

This card was made for the sketch challenge over at Split Coast Stampers. Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps is hoasting the challenge this week.
This card was made with one of the new releases from Sweet 'n Sassy called Winter Friends. Instead of coloring it in this time, I did paper piecing on it then went over the papers with the Spica Glitter Pens. There's a slight glimmer as you move the card.

The papers and ribbon are from the Mistletoe Creative Basics pack from Close to my Heart. The glitter on the snowman is Diamond Dust and the Snow under the snowman is Faux Flower Soft and prisma glitter.

There are red sparkles for the holly berries.
The Hand Stitching was done with matching Embroidery Floss.

A Gift for Snowman

Happy Monday!  Hope you all had a great weekend. I sure did!

My card for today used a Digi Stamp  called "A Gift For Snowman" from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.
The inspiration for this card came from a sketch at Clean & Simple Stamping. I thought this image worked perfectly with this sketch. I don't always put a sentiment on my cards if I'm not making it for a special person or occasion. This card is not only for Christmas, but can be used for a Birthday Card during the winter months.

I sized him to what I needed and printed him out, cut him with a Nestie and colored him with Copic Markers. I then left the Nestie in place and sponged around the inside with Desert Sand Ink. I coated the snowman with Liquid Glass then added Diamond Dust so he sparkled. I then used the liquid glass under the snowman so I could apply the Faux Flower Soft and Prisma glitter as snow.

I used some retired papers from Close to my Heart, and a Martha Stewart Punch for my borders. I punched the borders in Cranberry AND White CS and layered them.

I used White Embroidery Floss for the Hand Stitching around the card. I did more stitching then I normally do, but I wanted it to resemble snow flakes. OK, so you may have to use your imagination on that one. *Ü*

I thought it still needed a little something so I added a row of flat back pearls, also from CTMH, across the top and bottom to finish it off.

I printed him out two times so I could cut out one of them and layer with foam tape for dimension. I colored him with Cioouc markers and added liquid glass and Diampond Dust to his body for addede sparkle. The start was outlined with glue and prisma glitter added to that.

The papers are from the Mistle Toe collection from Close to my Heart. The ribbon is from the Mistletoe Creative Basics Collection.
