Share The Magic - Mojo Monday

Happy October 1st,

Can you believe it's October already. We're having some crazy weather here on the East Coast. It's been a long time since I've seen so much rain in one day. I guess we should be glad the temperature was 80° and not the middle of winter or we'd really be snowed in.

My card today was inspired by a sketch at Mojo Monday. I made this card for the Close to my Heart Stamp of the Month Blog Hop and I normally only post CTMH cards on my CTMH blog. However, since I used Mojo Monday sketch challenge, I put it here too.

My card today is made with the snowman and tree, two of the 12 stamps in this set.  I glued B&T from the Mistletoe Collection onto cardstock. Then I stamped the Tree in New England Ivy Ink and cut out. Then I applied Red Sparkles where the ornaments are stamped. Then I added white liquid appliqué to the bands on the tree. Since it's an outside scene, I wanted it to look l,ike snow. If you use the tree as an indoor scene, you can treat those bands as garland.

After coloring the snowman, I coated the white part with liquid glass then sprinkled on Diamond Dust. I attached three black pearls for his buttons.

For the snow under the snowman, I also coated with Liquid Glass then sprinkled on Faux Flower Soft that I made by rubbing two pieces of Styrofoam together and using the dust that was left behind. This makes wonderful snow.

The three snowflakes at the bottom were coated with Bonding Memories glue then Prisma Glitter. I attached a white pearl to the center of each.

I used white Embroidery Floss for the Hand stitching around the card. I wanted it to look like snow flakes!

Flower Bunch & Watering Can - Mojo 125

Well, here in Pennsylvania, we're gearing up for another big snow storm. We just had one on Sunday and now only Tuesday and we're going to get hammered again. So, I'm busy making spring cards to try and ward off the winter blahs!

For my inspiration on this card, I used the Mojo Monday Sketch 125.  They have such fantastic sketches each week.

The images used are Brand Spankin NEW Digi Stamps from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. I combined the Flower Bouquet and the Watering Can.
The images were printed and colored with Copic markers. Then cut out and assembled together. I cut a slit in the watering can so the flower stems would slide in. I actually used two flower bunches.
Did you know that Sweet 'n Sassy is now releasing new digi's several times a week???

I used some stickles glitter in the centers of the flowers.

The designer papers I used are from Close to my Heart and are from a new pack called Veranda Creative Basics. It iven comes complete with thie really cool ribbon I used.

The Hand Stitching around the card uses matching embroidery floss.

It's Your Day - Mojo98

Today's card was done out of necessity. I needed a birthday card for my granddaughter and haven't had extra time to stamp lately. So, I decided to use the Mojo 98 sketch to make a quick card. The only problem is, when I finished the card, I discovered that the small square that was to go behind the circle way lying on the floor. So, here's my card without it. That's what I get for doing everything last minute.

This card is a standard 4.25 X 5.5. I haven't made a small card like this in quite some time. I prefer larger cards for my own use. The only time I make small cards if for my hostess clubs to make and for people who I know don't keep my creations!!! *Ü*

I used the August Stamp of the Month, It's Your Day, from Close to my Heart.
I also used the Animal Cookies paper pack and the Foam Dir-cut numbers. I used the cuttlebug on the foam "8" and the Swiss dots embossing folder on the background.

Mojo Moday Week 92

I needed to make a special Birthday card for my daughter, so this is what I came up with from the Mojo Monday sketch.

I used Close to my Heart Tickled Pink Papers and the CTMH stamp set "Gracious Greetings".

I used punches for the flowers and dew drops in the center of the small flowers. White iridescent ribbon used also.

The stitching is done by hand with embroidery floss in a color that matches twilight and also sweet leaf.

Mojo Monday Week 89

This is the sketch this week at Mojo Monday. I am so glad I found this site. Sketch challenges have gotten me creative again.

I used the "Life's A Creation" stamp set from CTMH for this. Colors are Juniper, Tulip, Sorbet, & Cocoa.

The stitching is hand sewn using the match to Cocoa Embroidery Floss. I love stitching by hand, so, I choose to do this instead of using my sewing machine. The butterfly is from Butterfly Kisses and was stamped with black Memento Ink, embossed with clear detail EP and colored with Copic Markers. Pearl Dew Drops are in the lower corners. Cocoa Grosgrain ribbon divides the papers. The top portion of the paper is actually random stamped using the same stamps and colors.
