Today I have a card to share that makes me smile. My daughter-in-law turns 40 on Saturday so I made this card for her.
The inspiration for the card came from a sketch at Sketch Saturday.
The stamp set is from Close to my Heart and is called Merry Monsters. I stamped it twice, colored with Copic Markers and cut the second one out. I rounded it slightly and layered it with foam tape to give it dimension.
The papers are also from CTMH and new. It's called Hooligans. Even though these are in the Halloween section of the catalog, I thought they would be ideal for her Birthday Card!!!
I added lots of BLING. I had some clear bling laying around for ages and never used it. One was in the shape of a rectangle. So, I cut it apart and added individual stones to the 40 and what was left I put in the upper right corner. I then added CTMH's NEW Colored Sparkles in two of the corners.I used the dark purple from the pack.
The Hand Stitching was done with matching Embroidery Floss.
