My card today is for the Sweet Stop Sketch #39 with a twist. We were to use the sketch and use no other stamps except for a sentiment. Well, I cheated slightly. I've been wanting to use this sentiment since it seems appropriate this time of year but when I stamped it, I just wasn't happy with it. I didn't like it with the pattern of the paper I used. SO, I stamped the image from Melody of Love VERY LIGHTLY on my paper so it looks like background paper. But, Shhhhhhh...Don't tell anyone! *Ü*
Now, I like it.
The Sentiment is from a stamp set from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps, called "His Eye is on the Sparrow." I just thought this was so appropriate since our winter has been exceptionally cold and we can't wait for it to be over.
The papers are new from Close to my Heart, called Veranda. The colors here are Juniper and Creme Brulee. The creme Brulee organdy ribbon, The Juniper mini brads and the half pearls is also from CTMH. The flowers and leaves were made with punches with the Veranda Papers. Some were cuttlebugged with Swiss Dots.
The Hand Stitching around the card was done with matching Embroidery Floss.

This card is gorgeous!! I love those flowers and the colors!
Really lovely Nancy! Is that leaf punch a Martha Stewart one? I love the colors on this, so soothing.
Wow, this is stunning! Thank you for playing with at The Sweet Stop!
Just fantastic. The flowers are amazing. You did such a great job of adding dimension with all the texture and dies and the stitching is just amazing.

Oh Nancy! This is absolutely STUNNING!! I love the vintage look you've achieved here, and stamping the image so softly in the background is absolutely brilliant, as is your stitching, and embellishment choices! You are a master of this craft!!
Love and hugs,
Lorie
